Reflection: Self-conscious

Hi readers. Just had a talk with a friend. He is one with a really logical way of thinking. A little too logical for his own good sometimes... But that's beside the point of tonight's post. We talked about what I wrote in this post and he again told me how I take things too seriously. Like I need to take a chill pill and be less guarded about things. Well, I already know that I often take things too seriously (if I dare say it might actually be always, or almost all the time to be nice to myself), but I have no idea why I do, and how I can try not to be that way too much. I feel that I need to find out the reason why I am this way and work from there, but this piece (or pieces) of memory might be somewhere deep inside my psyche and might not be trivial to find out. So alternatively I could just consciously try to be more chill about things. It is definitely not going to be that easy, since it has become something like a character to me, and it is probably going to be easier...

The Family Trip to China

Hi readers! Not a very long hiatus between posts this time round, eh? Count yourselves lucky, because I decided to update my blog just to keep a journal of something that happened last week. Just to give you a background information, I flew to Tianjin, China last Wednesday and just returned today.  The plan was for my family (and I) to attend my elder brother's graduation ceremony but because we bought our tickets before the graduation date is confirmed, it turned out that the graduation would be on Sunday and we already purchased our return tickets on Saturday. Despite the trip being extremely exhausting, things did not go as planned, and we ended up not doing what we intended to do for the trip (attending the graduation) it was nevertheless a fulfilling one for me.

Not the third interview, yet

Hi readers/passer-bys!!! It is really amazing how my blog's pageview always increases tremendously whenever I am away and increases ever so slowly whenever I am actively posting (like once every two days or so). I am pretty sure I only left this blog in less than a week, yet the pageview has exceeded 400! Anyway, I am sure you have noticed how obsessed I am with pageviews. Maybe that number somewhat fulfills my ego as a person to be famous, or accepted, at least. You know, people my age are rather crazy for... being accepted. Especially if you happen to fall at the lower end of the social strata. The thing is, we never really know in which social stratum we fall into. You may think that you are at the lower end though your friends actually think you are somewhere in the middle or maybe slightly higher. Or the other way round. Anyway, I am not going to give you any advice on socializing, since I am having a problem in socializing myself. Well, I believe I have told you in previous p...

And suddenly... I was employed without knowing what the job is

Readers, if you have been wondering what I am doing daily, since I never posted anything about my daily lives, I am going to tell you now. As you may have read in my first post, I just graduated from high school, and is in a long holiday before going to university. It begs the question: how do I spend the time waiting for university to start? Well, to be honest, I do feel like quite a slacker; I did not get any permanent job, go for some guitar or coding classes or whatever to make my holiday, so called, "a time well-spent". How on Earth, then, do I spend my holiday? Actually, as it turns out, the long holiday may have its busy periods in between. As I have written earlier, this month (May) is going to be one of the busiest month of the holiday as it is when scholarship interviews likely to take place, so my days were (yes, WERE) spent preparing for commonly asked question, aside from my daily dose of coding lesson from www.codecademy.com  (try it, if you are interested to st...
