Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Hey people! For once I posted for two days in a row!! Well, you guessed it, I am quite free now that my freaking out over SUTD offer is over (alliteration intended), I am leading a more relaxed, boring life, again. Well, I realized that many of you may be even asking now: "You lead a boring life? Again? You never even tell us about how your life is!" Well, that is true... The plan was to put my current daily activities which do not have many variations in the introductory post, but unfortunately, it seems that I cannot finish it anytime soon. However, I promise I will make it someday!! And I will paste the link at the bottom of this post, okay? =)
Okay, so, you are probably wondering about the title. Those who have seen the movie may also been wondering since the first paragraph of this post does not have anything to do with the movie. (Ha. Now you know that it is a movie.) Well, yes, it is a movie. I am not very sure when it was released, but I downloaded it because this website called 9gag keeps reposting (yes, there are a truckload of those reposts, but this is one of them) this picture where there is a guy sitting in a booth and there is a woman across the room. Then the woman a sort of giving a friendly gesture to him and the guy just looked down and wrote in his journal: "Why do I fall in love with every woman I see who shows me the least bit of attention?" (sorry I can't post the picture here because I can't find it for now. But don't worry, you'll see it sooner or later being reposted again on 9gag =). I do not really know why, but I just had the urge to find out what movie is that from. Maybe I was just bored and wanted to find something entertaining to watch. And in the comment I found it: "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind". Hmmm. Sounds like a movie with a deep meaning. Maybe it was not an entertaining movie after all. But I still searched it in (put your favourite torrent site here, I do not want to get across as promoting piracy) and downloaded it anyway. I watched it today and it was.... indeed deep and meaningful.
I try not to give you guys any spoilers, but beware if you see an indication that I am going to spoil anything anyway. So, basically it is a Jim Carrey's movie. You know, they half-crazy guy who always stars movies with a deep and meaningful message, not to mention funny at the same time. This one is without the latter part. Shortly (to prevent me from spoiling), I highly recommend this movie to everyone. The theme of the movie is about bad memories and learning from mistakes, especially in terms of relationship with your other half. (Well, I have never been in a relationship before though #foreveralone) There is also a message about "you do not know how valuable something is until you are about to lose it" kind of message. There are a little bit of sci-fi in it, but that is not the central part of the movie. Oh yeah, there is also Kate Winslet (Rose from Titanic) and Kirsten Dunst (google image please, but do not sue me if you see some inappropriate or slightly offensive pictures by doing so)!! And Elijah Wood (Frodo from LotR) as well! (Well, he is not really playing the main role here)
So yeah, that is the little movie recommendation from me. I hope you are going to enjoy it! Please leave a comment if you also find the movie nice, deep, meaningful, and all. Or maybe even if you disagree with me, you are still welcome to comment. =D
